HTC Butterfly receives Android 4.3 with Sense 5.5, Droid DNA will remain on Android 4.2.2 until KitKat

The original HTC Butterfly is now receiving the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software update. The update will include HTC Sense 5.5 UI with BlinkFeed enhancements, improved music channel, and an enhanced imaging experience. The new software will bring version 3.15.707.4 and is 500.58MB in size, so be sure to connect to Wi-Fi if you want to save on your data plan.

The news comes from HTC ROM developer LlabTooFeR, who posted a screenshot showing the improvements and enhancements Android 4.3 has to offer.

LlabTooFeR also confirmed that the HTC Droid DNA for Verizon which was recently updated to Android 4.2.2 will not be getting the Android 4.3 update and would jump directly to Android 4.4 KitKat instead.

When will my device receive Android 4.4 KitKat Android 4.4 KitKat will bring several new features and improvements including support for devices with 512MB of RAM.

Its currently not clear if the KitKat software update will make its way to the original HTC Butterfly, but here's to hoping that it does.
