Unlocked iPhone 5s now available in the US

The unlocked version of the Apple iPhone 5s is now available through the Apple Store in the United States with prices starting from $649.99 for the basic 16GB model. The unlocked iPhone 5s comes with the freedom of no contract and no carrier ties, and can be used globally on GSM carriers.

The unlocked iPhone 5s is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models and the prices go up by $100 for every variant so the most expensive 64 gig model costs $849.

If you choose to buy the unlocked model, you’d need to put in your own nano SIM card. In the United States, AT&T and T-Mobile are GSM carriers and you can use it either one.
