Microsoft Surface 2 - Video Review

The Microsoft Surface 2 is a significant upgrade over last year's Surface and comes packing a more affordable $450 price which includes 32GB of storage and a full 1080p HD display. Unfortunately Windows 8.1 RT still leaves users yearning for the full Windows experience.

The problem isn't with the Windows 8.1 RT platform itself, which is one of the best tablet platforms in the market. But by coming in so late to the tablet race, Windows RT users are left with a very small app catalogue. While iOS and Android users get to enjoy the latest games and updates, Windows RT is still left behind.

While Windows 8.1 RT on the Surface 2 does offer productivity, users may want to lookout for the upcoming Intel Bay Trail tablets which will arrive this holiday season running the full Windows 8.1.

However, if you are set on a new Surface tablet, you could still consider spending double the money to pick up the Surface Pro 2 or even get the original Surface Pro which costs a little more.
