All you need to know about the Google Nexus 5

The Google Nexus 5 is coming and is definitely one of the most anticipated smartphones this fall. The device is expected to be the first smartphone to run Android 4.4 KitKat when it arrives on October 14 and is expected to be based on the LG G2. If the device is in fact based on the newest LG flagship we can definitely expect it to pack some power.

While rumors have confirmed the Snapdragon 800 processor and 4G LTE connectivity on the upcoming Nexus 5, reports have suggested that the device will come with a 4.96 inch full 1080p HD display and an "insanely great" camera.

Now a newly leaked picture which is reportedly the Nexus 5, shows a fairly large camera lens which looks similar to what we have seen on the Nokia Lumia 1020.

When we reviewed the Nexus 4 we found its camera was was its only weak point, while its price and performance were features to be admired. If Google keeps to their promise to provide a great camera experience backed by the best hardware and equally affordable price, the Nexus 5 will be an even bigger winner than its sibling.

We got our first glimpse of the Nexus 5 at the Android 4.4 KitKat statue unveiling, when a Google employee was spotted with a new Nexus device.

Google would almost immediately pull the video, and it was likely because the new LG Nexus was never meant to be seen at that time. Of course, in the Internet nothing disappears forever.

The Nexus 5 would then get "accidently" left in a bar. We were once again greeted to some images and a video showing us what the new Nexus would look like, including the new Nexus boot animation.

However we are now greeted with the best image of the Nexus 5 to date. Showing the large sensor and the familiar Nexus design. The source claims that the backplate of the device feels similar to the new Nexus 7, says that it had a disclaimer talking about "experimental software" and asking that the user "guard it like a ninja".

With so many rumors in place, but no solid facts, we have little to do but wait for the October 14th date and see what Google finally offers us.
