Will my Mac run OS X Mavericks

Apple announced an update to their desktop platform, named OS X Mavericks during the WWDC 2013 keynote a couple of days ago and subsequently released the Developer Preview  to registered developers. Mavericks comes with several features and improvements including Maps and iBooks for Mac.

Unfortunately Apple didn't reveal which Macs will support the upcoming OS update. However thanks to a recent report, we have a list of Apple devices which are compatible with OS (10.9) Mavericks below

• iMac (Mid-2007 or later)
• MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008), (13-inch, Early 2009 or later)
• MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or later), (15-inch, Mid/Late 2007 or later), (17-inch, Late 2007 or later)
• MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later)
• Mac Mini (Early 2009 or later)
• Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later)
• Xserve (Early 2009)

In order to upgrade to OS X 10.9 Mavericks, your computer will need to be running Mac OS X 10.6.7 Snow Leopard or higher, with 8GB of free disk space for installation. These are the same requirements of Mountain Lion, so if you have that already installed it is more than likely you can run Mavericks comfortably.
