Samsung teases the Galaxy S IV in a tweet

Samsung LogoSamsung has sent out a tweet with an attached image which is very likely the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S IV. Even though the name hasn't been revealed with the pictured device it comes with the message "The countdown for #TheNextBigThing has begun. Who’s ready for the Global Unpacked Event on March 14?"

The image also closely resembles the recent leaks of the Samsung GT-I9502 which was described as the Galaxy S 4 for China. The leaked photos revealed a Samsung Galaxy S III like device with rounded edges, which voids previous rumors of squared corners on the next Galaxy flagship. The leaked photos of the alleged cases are also proven to be fake with this news. It looks like Samsung will continue to use the rounded edges which are now a trademark on all the devices in the company’s lineup.

The Samsung Galaxy S 4 is expected to be officially unveiled on March 14th in New York City and the manufacturer expected to sell over 100 million units after launch. Samsung had managed to gather a lot of excitement and interest in every iteration of their Galaxy S flagship much like Apple’s iPhone announcements.

The Galaxy S IV is also expected to feature some new software features which will be exclusive to the handset including a smart-scrolling feature which will screen the contents on the screen by tracking eye movements.

You can continue to follow our full coverage of the Galaxy S IV, but be sure to tune in on March 14th for our live coverage of the Galaxy S IV launch.
