Additionally restoring all your data can be complicated and time consuming.

While backing up and restoring data maybe more of a requirement for those who regularly install custom ROMs, there is a new tool which allows new Android users to backup their data using Android 4.0+’s native backup facility over Android Debug Bridge (ADB) to save a complete snapshot of your device in its current state, providing a convenient and user friendly GUI to the ADB backup function of Android.

The solution is available for the Windows and Linux platforms and doesn't require the user's device to be rooted. However keep in mind that you will require ADB to be setup on your machine. Keep in mind that the application is still in beta and may not support all the Android devices. Also note that you have to be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or higher in order to use this application.
