BlackBerry Z10 expected to arrive in the U.S. in mid-March

The BlackBerry Z10 is one of the hottest topics at the moment and was recently unveiled by BlackBerry (formally RIM)  as the flagship smartphone running . Unfortunately it doesn't look like the device will be available in the United States until mid-march 2013. The news even caused BlackBerry’s stock to drop down by a few points.

The demand for the new BlackBerry smartphone is understandable. Its respectable features include a 4.2 inch touch display with a 768 x 1280 pixel resolution, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 2GB of RAM.

The folks in the U.K. will be getting the device as early as tomorrow with Canada also expected to get the device within a week. For some reason the U.S. market which is the company’s largest will have to wait over a month before getting access to the handset.

Microsoft is pushing hard to make a name for themselves and seal third place in a market dominated by iOS and Android. BlackBerry has a tough road ahead, and delays wont do much to help the company’s situation.
