BlackBerry Z10 expected to arrive in the U.S. in mid-March

The BlackBerry Z10 is one of the hottest topics at the moment and was recently unveiled by BlackBerry (formally RIM)  as the flagship smartphone running BlackBerry 10. Unfortunately it doesn't look like the device will be available in the United States until mid-march 2013. The news even caused BlackBerry’s stock to drop down by a few points.

The demand for the new BlackBerry smartphone is understandable. Its respectable features include a 4.2 inch touch display with a 768 x 1280 pixel resolution, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 2GB of RAM.

The folks in the U.K. will be getting the device as early as tomorrow with Canada also expected to get the device within a week. For some reason the U.S. market which is the company’s largest will have to wait over a month before getting access to the handset.

Microsoft is pushing hard to make a name for themselves and seal third place in a market dominated by iOS and Android. BlackBerry has a tough road ahead, and delays wont do much to help the company’s situation.
