Apple iPhone 5 will be available on Straight Talk on January 11

Walmart and Straight Talk have come together to offer the Apple iPhone 5 through the pre-paid carrier starting January 11th. The 16GB unlocked iPhone 5 will be priced at $649, while the 8GB Apple iPhone 4 will also be available for $449. For those who aren't willing to pay the full unlocked price, they can opt to purchase either iPhone model at $25 a month with the use of a Walmart credit card.

You will be able to use the Apple iPhone with the $45 plan with unlimited talk, text and data. You can add unlimited international calls for $60 a month. If you finance the handset, you will be paying a $70 a month for unlimited use without getting locked into a two-year contract.

Straight Talk says that the plan saves customers $950 a year compared to similar unlimited contract plan on a post-paid carrier.
