HTC 8S will not be coming to the U.S. confirms HTC

HTC has confirmed that their mid-range HTC Windows Phone 8S will not be made available in the U.S.. Customers will have to be satisfied with the HTC Windows Phone 8X or one of Nokia’s offerings which are available at very competitive prices.

It makes sense that HTC wouldn't want to take any focus away from premium device which has a hard job competing against the Nokia Lumia 920. However it is likely the device will eventually find its way into online retailer sites like Amazon or eBay if you are willing to wait for it.
