Microsoft Surface RT vs. Apple iPad 4 - Video Comparison

The Apple iPad 4 is the company’s latest tablet and it attempts take on the Microsoft Surface RT head on this holiday season, and it may be hard to choose a tablet which is best suited for you. The following video comparison of the iPad 4 and the Surface RT aims to help you choose.


The Microsoft Surface RT 10.6 inch touch display with a 1366x768 pixel resolution, up to 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded through micro SD, a 1.2 megapixel camera capable of 720p HD video capture, a secondary HD camera for Skype video calls, a built in kickstand, an optional Touch Cover and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor with 2GB of RAM.

The Surface RT runs Windows RT, which is a version of Windows 8 built for ARM processors. It doesn’t run older Windows desktop applications but will have a new selection of apps on the Windows Store. Microsoft will even include a free version of Office 2013 RT with the Surface RT and other Windows RT tablets.

Meanwhile the Apple iPad 4 features a smaller 9.7 inch but has Retina display with a 1536 x 2048 pixel resolution , up to 64GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary HD camera for Facetime video calls, optional 4G LTE connectivity, an optional  Smart Cover and is powered by an Apple A6X dual-core processor with 1GB RAM.

The iPad runs iOS which unlike Windows RT is a mobile platform. However it has a great app catalogue which is currently unmatched by its competitors.
