Microsoft Surface appears in a new video, shows why its better than the iPad

Now that the Microsoft Surface RT is available on pre-order, we would be likely to ask ourselves, Why should we buy the Microsoft Surface? With the Microsoft Surface, the company has carefully studied the market and their competitors and attempted to build a device which full fills the shortcomings of its competitors, specifically the Apple iPad.

Users will have two variants of the Microsoft Surface to choose from, the version with Windows RT which is currently on available on pre-order is powered by an ARM processor and will feature a free copy of Office 2013 RT and have access to a whole new collection of apps on the Windows Store. The device is aimed at regular users and it is lighter than its sibling and will be available in 32GB and 64GB variants.

The Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 is aimed at professional users and give you access to all the legacy Windows apps along with new touch optimized apps on the Windows Store. This variant will have up to 128GB of internal storage and a full HD display

One of the main additions is the stand which is built into the device and neatly folds away when you want to use the Surface as a regular tablet. The other is the attachable keyboard, which comes in two types – The Touch Cover which doubles as a screen protector for your device and a touch sensitive keyboard and the Type Cover which is meant for users who are looking for the feel of physical keys on their keyboards.

The Microsoft Surface is also built with productivity in mind. By including a microSD slot and a USB port users can expand their storage options and easily access their files.
