Microsoft Office for iOS and Android coming in March next year ?

Windows 8 is set to be released on October 26 alongside the Microsoft Surface which runs Windows RT. The final version of Office 2013 is expected to launch sometime early next year, but it looks like Microsoft will not stop with Office for Windows as reports suggest that they have plans for bringing Office 2013 to iOS and Android as well by March of next year.

Windows RT will ship with a free copy of Office 2013 for Windows RT, but since Office 2013 is still incomplete Microsoft plans to ship a pre-release version of their Office Suite with Windows RT which they will update to the final version by early next year.

Microsoft’s largest selling point for Windows RT tablets is the addition of their Office Suite. It seams a little strange that they will have versions available for their competitors so soon, but they probably expect to have enough sales Windows tablet sales during the 2012 holiday season.

Microsoft wont end their work with Office for iOS and Android. Office 2013 will also be available for Windows Phone 8, and will also make its way to OS X and the Symbian platform. The Redmond based company has a very expensive few months ahead as they struggle to find a firm footing in the post PC market.
