Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 receives Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich software update

The Nexus users maybe enjoying the newer Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but several manufacturers are still working hard at bringing Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) for their devices.

Samsung is one such manufacturer and have kept their promise to update to ICS by August and are now rolling out the Android ICS software update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9

The update is being offered OTA (Over-the-Air) and is 313MB in size. You can also download the update by connecting your device to the Samsung Kies software for Windows or Mac.



Along with the security and feature improvements you would expect from Android ICS, the update also brings the latest version of the Samsung TouchWiz UI.
