HTC One S for T-Mobile receives Android 4.0.4 update with HTC Sense 4.1

The HTC One S for T-Mobile will be receiving an incremental update on Wednesday which will upgrade Android 4.0.3 to Android 4.0.4. The update will also upgrade the HTC Sense UI to version 4.1 from 4.0. The update looks to be the same as the one which was previously released to the European variant of the device. This means users in the U.S. can also expect performance improvements along with features like the new quick settings on the notifications page.

The update also brings improved Wi-Fi connectivity, which has been an issue for HTC One S users since the device was first released. There are also improvements to the devices’ Bluetooth connectivity, improvements to showing links on email, crashing fixes, fixes to music streaming and improvements to the UI.

The update should be around 150MB in size, and we advise users are connected to a Wi-Fi connection during the update to avoid data overages. It is also good to have the battery charged to at least 50% before you continue.

In order to receive the update make sure your restore your device to the stock version of Android 4.0.3 which should have software versions 1.53.531.76 710RD or 1.84.531.2 710RD. You should ensure your device isn't rooted and that you have at least 140MB of free space on your device.
