HP TouchPad receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean through CyanogenMod 10

The HP TouchPad has been warmly welcomed by the modding community and stands front in line for most Android updates. It first got access to Android Gingerbread through CyanogenMod and MIUI. Then back in January the tablet got early access to Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

Now the WebOS tablet a front runner for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean through CyanogenMod 10.

The Mod is still in an early stage of development and features like sound and video acceleration, the camera and the built in microphone still don't work. While several applications don't seem to work as yet. Google Now has been successfully brought to life and can currently be tested. You can check the CyanogenMod for HP TouchPad ROM in action in the following video demo.

Since the ROM is not stable we won't recommend installing it on a tablet you use for day to day activities, but if you have a TouchPad lying around and are curious to see how the latest version of Android performs the ROM and GApps package using the following links:

CyanogenMod has a heavy backing from the development community and we should get access to a stable version soon.
