A recent report suggests that the
Samsung Galaxy S II will be receiving it's share of Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) on March 1st. This stands in line with Samsung's initial claim that ICS will be available for the Galaxy S II along with the
Samsung Galaxy Note in the first quarter of 2012.
The report through
Eldar Murtazin is who is an tech reporter with a good track record for bringing tech news before it's official announcement. He goes on to claim that the ICS update will be made available both Over the Air and through
Samsung Kies desktop software.
The international variant of the Galaxy S II will probably be the first to savour Android ICS as the U.S. variants generally take longer to receive the updates.
So if you are using a custom ROM you may want to revert back to the latest official release in time for Samsung to release Android ICS for your Galaxy S II smartphones.
