Apple event scheduled for January 19 at the Guggenheim in NYC

Apple is said to be sending out invitations for an "educational announcement" event which is scheduled for January 19 at the Guggenheim in New York City. Reports point toward the unveiling of electronic textbooks, which is something Steve Jobs was keen on and had worked on until his last days.



The event is not expected to have any hardware announcements but an iTunes U project is expected to be detailed.

The announcement which is reported to be based on a project which is years in the making
