Sony Ericsson reveals Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade plans

Now that the latest flavor of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) is upon us, everyone is curious to know which handsets will be getting the latest version of Android. Sony Ericsson Netherlands has revealed in a Tweet, that all of it's 2011 Xperia Android lineup will get updated to the next Android Platform.

While that there is no confirmation that this said update is Android 4.0. We can remain hopeful that this will indeed be the case and not just a bump up in Gingerbread.

HTC recently announced that they will be bringing Android ICS to most of their devices (with able hardware) since Sony Ericsson doesn't customize their devices as much as HTC it shouldn't take them as long to release the ICS update for their handsets.

If this is true the devices which will be eligible for the Android (4.0) Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade will include
SE Xperia PLAY, Xperia neo V, Xperia neo, Xperia arc S, Xperia arc, the Xperia mini pro
