The Kyocera Echo is now receiving the Android 2.3 Gingerbread software update starting today from Sprint. The update brings features like pinch-to-zoom support, Swype 3.0, Eco mode and an improved downloads app. Features like NFC support and Wi-Fi calling have not still found their way to the device.
The update is available over-the-air and you should be receiving a notification on your device that it is available. You can also try a manual update under the Android settings menu.
[UPDATE] There have been reports that devices have gotten bricked after the update. Leave us a comments and let us know if you own this device and you are facing any issues after the update.
