Apple iCloud

Apple introduced the world to their iCloud service during WWDC 2011. The iCloud service is seamlessly integrated into your apps with iOS 5. The service is meant for users to store data such as documents, photos, and music on remote servers for download to iOS, Mac and Windows devices, sot share and send data to other users, and to manage your Apple devices if they are lost or stolen.

Apple's iCloud, replaces the company's MobileMe service, acting as a data syncing center for email, contacts, calendars, bookmarks, notes, reminders (to-do lists), iWork documents, photos and other data.

When you sign up for iCloud you will receive 5GB of free storage. The service is built to maximize your storage by not counting apps, music and books downloaded from the Apple Stores.

The iCloud service also provides the means to wirelessly back up iOS devices directly to iCloud, instead of being reliant on manual backups to a host Mac or Windows computer using iTunes.
