Apple suing Amazon over "Appstore" name

Amazon recently released their Appstore for Android. It unfortunately looks like Amazon is facing trouble from Apple's lawyers over the "App Store" name.

Apple has patented the "App Store" and they have filed a suit against Amazon for trademark infringement and unfair competition.

In response, Amazon spokesperson Mary Osako said: "We have a long-standing practice of not commenting on pending litigation".

Apple has further states that it has contacted Amazon three times demanding that it cease using the name and that Amazon has not provided a 'substantive response'.
