The CR-48 is a prototype notebook designed by Google and runs the Google Chrome operating system. The device was made available through Google's Pilot program to a select number of testers.

The Goal behind the "ChromeBook" is to get businesses and consumers to abandon traditional notebooks in favor of Google's web based operating system which allows to to continue where you left off no matter where you are.
