Nokia has announced four new C Series mobile devices at a press conference held in Nairobi, Kenya. Three devices are branded under the C1 name and the other, the C2 is a dual SIM device.
The Nokia C1-00 is the most affordable of the C1 trio. It is priced at 30 Euros before taxes and subsidies and is the first Nokia mobile two feature dual SIM capability. Users a can switch SIM connections simply by holding down a key. The Vice President of Nokia explained that the device was aimed for users to take advantage of lower calling rates, travelling between countries or even to share the device between family members.
The C1 devices feature six weeks of standby time, which is the longest from any Nokia device to date. This allows users who don't have easy access to electricity to go for long periods of time without having to charge their device. The device also features a flashlight and radio.
