The Xbox 360 is designed and manufactured by Microsoft and is the successor to the original Microsoft Xbox. The XBox 360 was officially unveiled on May 12, 2005 and released on November 22, 2005 in the US and Canada; December 2, 2005 in Europe and December 10, 2005 in Japan. The console is integrated with Microsoft's Xbox Live service which allows you compete online, download arcade games, game demos, trailers, TV shows, music and movies.

on June 14, 2010 Microsoft announced a redesigned slimmer version of the console which features integrated 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, TOSLINK S/PDIF optical audio output 5 USB 2.0 ports and a special AUX port.
