Sony PlayStation Portable

The PlayStation Portable (PSP) is a handheld gaming console designed and manufactured by Sony. It was announced during E3 2003, and was unveiled on May 11, 2004. It was released in Japan on December 12, 2004 and in North America on March 24, 2005.

The PSP uses an optical disk format, Universal Media Disc (UMD) as it's primary storage medium. The device is also capable of connecting with the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, other PSPs and the internet.
